Legal
Acceptable Use.
Our servers share networks with other customers and other businesses. This policy keeps them safe. It applies to everyone using a Rack'Em server, including your own users.
You must not use Rack'Em to:
- Send spam or bulk email that people didn't ask for, or run open mail relays.
- Attack or probe other systems: DDoS attacks, port scanning, brute-force login attempts, exploiting vulnerabilities, or spreading malware.
- Phish or defraud: fake login pages, scams, impersonating banks, brands or people.
- Host illegal content, including child sexual abuse material (reported to authorities immediately), terrorist content, or anything illegal in India or in the country where the server is located.
- Infringe others' rights: pirated software, films, music or other copyrighted material, or counterfeit goods.
- Mine cryptocurrency or run other workloads that keep the CPU at full load for long periods.
- Run public proxies, VPN exit nodes or Tor exit nodes that others can use anonymously.
- Harass, threaten or stalk anyone, or publish people's private information without consent.
- Get around limits we set, such as creating extra accounts to avoid a suspension.
Outgoing email ports may be blocked on new servers to prevent spam. If you need to send email from your server, write to us and tell us what for.
What happens if this policy is broken
- We may suspend the server immediately, without notice, and investigate.
- Serious or repeated breaches lead to the account being closed, without refund.
- We cooperate with law enforcement and may share information when the law requires it.
- You are responsible for any costs or claims caused by the breach.
